Denise Williams (Associate, NY). Denise is originally from Guyana, South America and has been in the U.S. for over 23 years. She is the mother of two teenagers — a boy 18 and a girl 16. She works as an administrative assistant with a bi-state agency. At age five her son had an asthma attack and that motivated her to seek natural solutions to make her family and home healthier. She found Shaklee in 2000 and during that time she and her family have been experiencing better health. Beth Egan (Director, PA). Beth and her husband John have two married daughters and five beautiful grandchildren. Beth started in Shaklee as a customer mainly purchasing nutritional products. After hearing reports about the toxic chemicals that are in products that are used in homes every day, she became concerned about what was in the products that she was using and how they may be affecting the health of her grandchildren. Teresa Scholze (Distributor, PA). Teresa Scholze is a wife and mother of two teenage daughters, ages 17 and 14. She has been employed by one of Pennsylvania’s top health insurance companies for the past ten years as an administrative assistant for one of the area’s most notable geriatric physicians. A very active member in the community, she works on committees for her local Cystic Fibrosis chapter and volunteers at St. Victor’s Church in Bairdford, PA were she is an Adult Youth Leader for Teen Youth Group, instructor for Liturgy of the Word for Children and a member of the Women’s Guild. Teresa is also a member of the Women’s Small Business Association (WSBA) and was newly elected to serve as Vice President of the Deer Lakes Band Board for the 2011 – 2012 school year. Looking for more security for her family Teresa became a Shaklee Distributor and her interest has been rejuvenated in working towards a healthier lifestyle.
Lori Goulet (Star Associate, CA). Lori is the mother of two children ages two and five. Lori is also a trained Montessori teacher who enjoys yoga, working outside in the garden, and being active in church ministries. She loves finding creative ways to fit her Shaklee business into every facet of her life, and especially enjoys sharing health and wellness information with other parents of young children.

Keep a Clean and Shiny Sink

If housework is a chore and you let things build up over time…. then I suggest you try the Flylady system.
I’ve been receiving her daily digests (encouraging emails) that guide you step by step through simple routines that help you keep house in a minimum amount of time. I think what makes her system unique is that she deals with the emotional issues we might have that cause us to procrastinate and not do housework.
Anyway, the very first thing she asks you to master is “A Clean and Shiny Sink.” This first babystep is to make sure you don’t go to bed with a sink full of dirty dishes. I’ve been working on this for the last month and I can say it has really made a difference in my attitude. I feel better about myself and the house.
By the way, FLY stands for “Finally Loving Yourself.” Flylady is a great resource and encouragement to help you keep house.
Since she recommends a Clean and Shiny Sink, I thought I would review how I keep my sink clean and shiny (the green and natural way!)
How I Clean My Sink Without Toxic Cleaners
I used to use those spray and wipe products from the grocery store to clean my sinks until I was introduced to Shaklee’s Basic H and Shaklee Basic G nearly 20 years ago. I believed the lies the commercials told me about needing those harsh chemicals to kill the germs and keep my home clean. But, not anymore. Back then, I was mostly interested in saving money. Here’s a picture of my porcelain sink. It stains easily.
Next, I sprayed my sink with Basic H2 All purpose spray and then covered with Get Clean Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste. I let it soak for 2 minutes and then used a scrubby to scrub the sink stains. Then I rinsed it and whah-lah— all shiny and clean and no toxins to breathe!
